The original N-Gage saw the original release of Mile High Pinball, The first game itself was truly amazing with effects you wouldn’t expect on a mobile and such detail and depth within the game itself, but what about this new release? Is it any good? Does it offer anything new? Read on….
My first thoughts on this game were positive, I remembered the classic from the original N-Gage and I loved it to put it simply – The effects, Styling and game play were all fantastic – This one is just as good and certainly wont disappoint, though some may be put off by the change of developer from Bonus.com to Ideaworks3D but you forget ID3D did a fantastic job on System Rush for N-Gage 2.0.
The opening menu is very pretty indeed, with some nice visual effects – and has all the usual options of a standard N-Gage Game :-
- Play Mode (Single Player)
- N-Gage Arena (Rankings and Point Pickups)
- Options (General Options)
- Credits
- Etc

When playing, it’s exactly what it says on the tin – You play Pinball – with a twist, it never ends (Around 45 Stages). Each table has different puzzles, Power ups and god knows what other secrets that lie within the tables just to go up a level – This is what made the original an instant classic, ‘Reply value’ because you could play this game forever – Though saying that, I got a strange feeling that the game is too close to its older brother, the first few levels feel the same as the first few levels of the original, co-incidence or not?
The controls are simple, 1 and 2 for the flippers and 5 for power-ups and that’s about it, nothing too hard – Nothing to complain about and works on every compatible phone too which is good.
Graphically the game is standard 2D, but for those who played the original on the low-res screen of the N-Gage will remember it looked stunning, now for those who haven’t played the new version yet (Why?) will understand that it’s just as good, the effects, the tiny details of the board make this game graphically amazing – This game wasn’t designed to disappoint you at all, and trust me it wont.

Sound-wise, it’s good potential, there mostly the original sounds from the original game which is nice because the original was a nice set of samples. Though some may complain it’s not original. My only complaint is that it’s not stereo or the highest quality than what the devices could achieve.
The multiplayer aspect sounds very promising, It has two modes “Rankings” and “Duel”, The rankings are well the rankings of the single player mode – and the Duel is Real Time head to head play across the N-Gage Arena, though sadly no Blue tooth play which is a shame – but this is still a improvement from the original game for the N-Gage. Both modes, Ranked and Duel offer a certain amount of fun – making the game longer and more exciting.
Overall the game is fantastic, Hardly any mistakes – Its fun, and offers and challenge with the inclusion of online multiplayer makes this a very deep game to play, so buy it no – You wont regret it.
