It all started when a programmer by the name of Alexey Pajitnov, which he first brought the game to the Elektronika 60 then it went to the IBM PC this all started in the 80’s were it exploded onto other consoles and then onto the handheld scene with the original game boy and then eventually moving into the modern world of the Nintendo DS and even the N-Gage 2.0 – But to be frank does this game offer anything new in any of its revisions apart from a new scoring system or design of graphics? No it’s the same old Tetris – are we still hooked? Yes. Read on.

My first impressions for the game were great another Tetris game? Soon as that downloaded and installed – My mind was completely changed. It’s a fantastic game. It has many difficulty settings for you Tetris geeks out there any many gaming modes all offering a rather simple game, slap the blocks into place and creates a row to vanish them, seems simple enough? Wrong it takes skill and practice to play this game and a lot of it.
The game it self when first booted looks nice and really adds to the game. The menu having the usual:
- options
- High scores
- Single player mode
Single player mode consists of 6 game play modes, these are:
- Marathon
- Ultra
- 40 Lines
- Versus
- Clash
- Hot seat

Each game play mode offers something different every time but they can drag on, but it’s a nice addition to the game not just sticking to 1 mode of game play.
The game is basic, slot the blocks into place to form a line – hey presto that line vanishes there are bonuses for more lines at once and it’s rather easy to do so, but once you make a mistake it takes a lot strength just to gain it back.
The controls are simple for this game, Left and right to move the block’s, 5 to rotate and down to slam that block into place. You can remap your keys to what you want but I like this standard layout.
Graphically its Tetris, how can I put it any plainer? Though saying that what EA Mobile has done is impressive, shiny and defiantly a nice game to the eye – others will disapprove and somehow compare it to PS3 or something but there we go!
Sounds of Tetris are minimal and to me not that good, basic and kind off boring but some will like it others will not, always about your opinion no one else’s.
Multiplayer is a miss in this game, all we got once again like most over N-Gage games is Rankings, It’s a nice addiction but not very exciting unless your really competitive on rankings and have to be No1!
Overall the game is well like it says, Tetris. It’s a nice addition to the N-Gage line up, they should of maybe added some NOKIA things into there like the DS Port had with Nintendo Characters but other than that – it is a really fun game to play, and at a decent price its just screaming at you to play !
